Origami Crane Instructions

The crane is a pretty simple piece of origami.
You begin the real part of folding it after you make the Diamond base.

1) Fold the Diamond base and position it so
that the open corner it at the bottem.

2) Fold the two sides in to the middle making a pointy end on the bottem.
3) Do the same on the other side

4) Fold the top down over the flapps. Repeat on the other side.

5) Unfold everything so you are back to the diamond base,
then bring the top layer only up.

6) Crease the right parts, it should now look like a diamond.
7) Repeat on the other side.

8) Fold the left pointy thing up along the small edge at an angle.
9) Repeat on the right

9) Reverse the crease on the outside of one pointy things into the body,
making an inside reverse fold.
You should follow the creases that are already there.
10) Repeat on the other side.

11) Fold one of the ends a little bit down at an angle, making a crease.
12) Fold another inside reverse fold, creating the head.

13) If it isn't already, posotion the crane like the picture.
14) Poof the wings out, creating a small pocket on the left side.

15) As you are making the little pocket,
gently curve the wing as shown in this picture
Do Not crease the wing! Gently curve it.

To flap the crane's wings:

Hold the base of the wings and pull the tail out.
Make sure that the back wings are poofed out. (Steps 13-14)

All done!
